Shades of 2011 all over again?

We don’t have the time — nor the intestinal fortitude — to recount all the bizarre ailments that sidelined various Twins players last summer. Suffice to say, this food poisoning scare brings us back. It brings us back to a time where Joe Mauer missed a huge chunk of the season with something called bilateral leg weakness (that was prior to the games Mauer missed later in the summer after he tweaked his neck … looking up at a fly ball) and Delmon Young decided to miss a game — and ultimately go on the Disabled List — because he couldn’t get loose on a chilly spring night.
